Webcam chat tips for stranger video calls

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Practical video-chat hygiene for Chat BI — lighting, background, clothing, and when to end a call immediately.

Video chat with strangers is the most intense Chat BI mode. A few habits make it less stressful and safer.

Before you connect

  • Face a light source so you are visible without blasting a bright window behind you
  • Remove mail, badges, and photos from the background
  • Wear what you would wear in a public café
  • Decide in advance that you will leave at the first sign of inappropriate behavior

During the call

Keep the first minute boring on purpose: hello, how are you, what brings you here. If the other person immediately demands sexual content, records you, or refuses to talk respectfully, end the call.

You can mute or stop video without explaining yourself.

Hard exits

Leave immediately if you see:

  • Nudity or sexual content you did not consent to
  • Someone who appears under 18
  • Threats, hate, or doxxing attempts
  • Pressure to move to another site for “private” content

Then report. Child-safety issues are zero-tolerance on Chat BI.
