How to report and block users on Chat BI

Last updated: July 10, 2026

What block and report do, when to use each, and how Chat BI uses reports for safety review on an anonymous guest platform.

You should never feel stuck in a bad conversation. Chat BI includes in-chat safety actions so you can leave quickly and reduce the chance of seeing the same person again.

Block

Block ends the current conversation and records a pairwise block against that guest. The goal is simple: you should not be matched with that person again under normal conditions.

Use block when:

  • The chat is uncomfortable but not necessarily a policy violation
  • Someone is pushy, creepy, or wasting your time
  • You want a clean exit without writing a report

You do not owe anyone an explanation before blocking.

Report

Report also ends the chat and applies a block-style separation, and it stores an audit record for moderation review. When you report, pick the category that best fits what happened (for example harassment, nudity, underage concern, spam, or other).

Use report when:

  • Someone is harassing, threatening, or hateful
  • You see non-consensual sexual content or nudity
  • You suspect the other person is under 18
  • You encounter scams, spam, or phishing attempts

Reports help identify repeat offenders even though guests do not have traditional accounts. Chat BI uses guest identifiers and, when needed, network signals to enforce bans.

What happens after you report

  • The conversation ends immediately
  • A record is stored for review
  • Repeated reports against the same target can lead to stronger enforcement, including bans
  • Serious child-safety reports may trigger additional alerting and cooperation with authorities where required

Chat BI does not promise a personal reply for every report. For urgent safety concerns, email support@chatbi.live.

Tips for useful reports

  • Choose the most accurate category
  • Report as soon as the behavior is clear — you do not need to “collect evidence” by staying in a harmful chat
  • Do not engage further after you decide to leave
