Anonymous chat is useful for meeting new people, practicing a language, or killing a few minutes. It is also a space where you do not know who is on the other side. Treat every conversation as public until you have a strong reason not to.
Assume strangers stay strangers
People on Chat BI join as guests. Nicknames, age ranges, and countries are self-chosen and not verified. Do not treat a friendly tone as proof of identity, age, or intent.
Never share:
- Your real full name, home or work address, or school
- Phone number, email, social handles, or messaging apps
- Passwords, one-time codes, or account recovery details
- Government ID, photos of documents, or live location
- Bank details, UPI IDs, crypto wallets, or payment app usernames
If someone asks for any of the above, end the chat. That request is a red flag even when it is framed as “just to stay in touch.”
Video and voice add extra risk
On a video call, your face, room, and background can reveal more than you intend. Before you enable camera:
- Check what is visible behind you (mail, badges, street signs, family photos)
- Prefer a plain background or blur if your device supports it
- Do not show ID cards, tickets, or screens with personal accounts open
- Leave immediately if someone asks you to undress, record, or move the camera somewhere private
Voice can still leak clues (accent, workplace noise, other people nearby). You can switch to text or skip to a new match anytime.
Use the tools that are already there
Chat BI includes report and block controls in chat. Use them early if something feels wrong — you do not need a dramatic reason. Blocking ends the conversation and reduces the chance of rematching that person. Reporting does the same and creates a record for review.
If you believe a child is involved or you see child sexual abuse material, report it in-app and contact support@chatbi.live. Chat BI is 18+ only and treats child-safety violations as zero-tolerance.
Simple habits that help
- Start with text if you are unsure; add voice or video later.
- Keep personal stories vague until you decide the chat is harmless.
- Do not send money, gift cards, or “verification” payments to anyone.
- Do not agree to move the conversation to another app under pressure.
- When in doubt, skip and match again.
