Skip is a core feature of stranger chat. You are not stuck with a bad match.
What skip does
Skipping ends the current 1-on-1 session and returns you to matching (or the lobby flow your client uses). The other person is notified that the chat ended. Messages from that session are not kept as a long-term archive on Chat BI servers after the conversation ends.
When skipping is the right move
- The conversation is boring or one-sided
- Someone is rude, pushy, or creepy
- You finished a good short chat and want someone new
- You need to leave for any personal reason
You do not need a “good enough” justification.
Skip vs block vs report
- Skip / leave: end this chat
- Block: end this chat and avoid rematching that guest when possible
- Report: block-style separation plus a moderation record
If the issue is safety-related, prefer report and block over a silent skip alone.
Keep rematching healthy
Rapid skipping is fine. Using Chat BI to spam the same scam line into every match is not. Be the kind of stranger you would want to meet.
