Why Chat BI has no registration (and what that means)

Last updated: July 10, 2026

What “no signup” really means for privacy, safety tools, and what still gets stored in your browser or for moderation.

Chat BI does not ask you to create an account with email or phone. That is intentional: less friction, less identity tied to every chat.

What you still have

Even without registration, the product needs a few things to work:

  • A guest identifier in browser storage so blocks can persist across reconnects
  • Optional profile fields you choose (nickname, age range, country)
  • Safety records when someone reports or when a ban is applied
  • Technical logs needed to keep connections reliable

Details live in the Privacy Policy.

Trade-offs

Upside: start in seconds; no password to reuse; no public follower graph.

Downside: if you clear browser data, you look like a new guest; recovery of a “profile” is not the point of the product; moderation relies on guest and network signals instead of verified accounts.

Is no registration more private?

It can be, for casual use. It is not invisibility. Your IP still reaches the server to open a connection, and anything you show on video is visible to the other person.

If you want invite-only chats with someone you already know, use a private room instead of the stranger lobby.
