Chat BI Connect is built for fast 1-on-1 matching. You do not create an account. You pick a guest profile, choose a mode, and join the lobby.

Guest profile basics

Before matching, you set a nickname plus optional details such as age range, gender, and country. These help other people know who they are talking to, but they are not verified. You can edit them later from the Connect UI.

Three modes

When you open Connect, you choose how you want to talk:

Text — messages only. Lowest friction; good for a first conversation.
Voice — live audio between you and your match.
Video — live webcam plus the option to keep chatting in text alongside the call.

You can start in one mode and use in-chat controls to escalate to voice or video when both sides are ready (subject to the product’s current call flow). If you only want text, stay in text mode.

What “matching” means

Chat BI looks for another available guest in the same mode and pairs you into a private session. While you wait, you stay in the lobby. When a match is found, you move into the conversation UI.

There is no public feed and no follower graph. Each match is a separate 1-on-1 session. If the conversation is dull or uncomfortable, use Skip (or leave) to end it and look for someone new.

Invites and presence

Connect also supports inviting someone who is already online in the lobby (when that feature is available in your session). Invites are optional; most people simply wait for an automatic match.

Private rooms are different

Matching is for strangers. If you already have someone to talk to, use a private room with a shared invite code instead. That path skips the stranger lobby entirely.

Tips for a smoother start

Allow camera and microphone permissions only when you intend to use voice or video.
Read the safety notice before joining — it is there for a reason.
Keep expectations realistic: some matches will be short; that is normal.
